About This Library

Best Email Template is an independently run library of 575 original email designs, built in Figma and organised into 43 collections across 45 source files. Every template is a real, editable Figma design — not a screenshot, not a code export — free to duplicate into your own drafts with no account and no email required.

It is a small independent project rather than a company, and it is maintained by the designers who produce the templates. We publish under the project name rather than individual bylines; what we think is worth being judged on is set out below, and it is all checkable against the site.

How each template is made

Every design starts from a specific job an email has to do — confirm an order, recover a cart, launch a product, carry a seasonal offer — and is built against the constraints of the medium rather than the freedom of the canvas:

  • A 600px content width, the width no major client clips, with a 375px mobile frame drawn alongside from the start rather than checked at the end.
  • The primary action placed within the first 400px, which is roughly all a reader sees on a phone before scrolling.
  • Live text for headings, so the email still communicates when images are blocked — which is a large share of first opens.
  • 16px body type minimum and contrast checked to at least 4.5:1, rather than accepted because it looked fine on a large monitor.
  • Named layers and auto layout, so the file can actually be handed to a developer or edited by someone who did not draw it.

Those standards are written up in full across our 10 design guides, which is the clearest way to judge whether the work is any good: the reasoning is published, so you can disagree with it.

Designs based on real brand emails

96 of the 575 templates are original designs created as studies of marketing emails published by real companies. Those pages say so explicitly and name the brand concerned.

To be unambiguous: the artwork and the Figma files are our own work. We do not redistribute any company’s actual email, assets or code, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied or claimed. Our full position is in the terms, including a route for any company that would like a template renamed or removed.

What this library provides — and what it does not

Every template links to a Figma file you can duplicate and edit: layers are named and grouped, type and colour are straightforward to swap, and the structure holds when your content runs longer than ours.

What the library does notprovide is production HTML. These are design files. If you need code, the usual route is to hand the Figma file to a developer or rebuild the layout in your email platform’s editor — our handoff guide covers how to make that clean.

We state this plainly because for a long time this site described itself as a library of “HTML email templates”, which was wrong. Being accurate about what you are downloading matters more than ranking for a term we cannot satisfy.

How this is funded

The library is free. There is no account, no email wall and no paid tier. The site carries advertising, which covers hosting and the time spent maintaining it, and that is the whole business model. We do not take payment from any brand to feature a template, and no template placement or collection ordering is sponsored.

Corrections and contact

If something here is wrong — a broken Figma link, a template that does not match its description, a design study that should be renamed or removed, or a factual error in one of the guides — tell us and we will fix it. The contact form reaches a real inbox that is read, and we aim to reply within two working days.

Requests for a template that does not exist yet are welcome through the same route. A reasonable share of the library exists because somebody asked.
